La Belle Inn, located opposite the railway
station in Naivasha, is a historical country
inn, built in 1926 as a stop-over for travelers
en route to the farming regions.
Only an hour’s drive from Nairobi, the
hotel is now a popular stop-over for travelers
to the Western region of Nakuru and Kisumu as
well as for local residents. The hotel has 10
standard, self contained double rooms with bath
and shower, offering comfortable accommodation
especially for small groups and individual travelers.
There is a 30-seat dining room offering both
local and Continental cuisine. Snacks and take-away
meals also available. The main Happy Valley
bar has live music on Fridays and Saturdays.
The second bar has international TV and radio.
La Belle Inn is only a 10-minute drive from
Lake Naivasha with its teeming birdlife. Other
famous national parks, including Hell’s
Gate, where visitors can cycle, are within easy
reach. Activities include game drives, sport
fishing and canoeing.
