The Leisure Golf Club at Diani on Mombasa’s
south coast is a 6,084 metre (6,632 yard) 18
hole, par 72, championship course. The Club
is a venue for a number of top international
golf tournaments, including the nine-country
Africa Zone VI Golf Tournament.
Officials from Royal & Ancient Golf Club
of St. Andrews, Scotland, and the South Africa
Golf Union, have given the course a top rating.
The full size driving range has a chipping green
and banker for practice. There is a well-stocked
Pro Shop and the Club House has all facilities
including food and all types of beverages.
The golf course is open to the public and green
and caddy fees are very reasonable. Non members
may play in most club tournaments. Club night,
held every Wednesday, is a fun afternoon/evening.
