Located on a thickly forested bend of the Talek
River and opened in 2000, the Mara Explorer
is widely regarded as one of the Maasai Mara’s
most luxurious and well-appointed camps. Mara
Explorer is formed by just 10 luxurious tents.
Each tent is allocated a personal butler on
call 24 hours a day.
Some guests can even view game from their out-door
“elephant eye” level bathtubs on
the decks of five of the 10 tents. Additionally,
guests can enjoy morning and evening game drives,
walking safaris, bush breakfast and dinners
or romantic sundowners in selected riverside
or hilltop locations.
Mara Explorer is an eco-friendly camp with
all non-degradable waste sent to Nairobi and
water is heated using used coffee husks.
