Opened in 1937 as a staging post for the imperial
Air-ways flying boat service between Durban
and London, the five star Lake Naivasha Country
Club is set in 12 hectares of green lawns shaded
by mature acacias and spreading fever trees.
Lake Naivasha, with its prolific bird life,
is one of the gems in a necklace of Rift Valley
lakes. Local attractions include Crescent Island
and Hell’s Gate National Park. With its
old-world colonial architecture, the club offers
comfortable accommodation in 40 air-conditioned
rooms, all private bathroom, minibar, radio,
cable/satellite TV and room safe.
The cool and elegant public rooms include a
residents’ lounge with large bay windows
and a massive fireplace.
The club has its own conference rooms with a
maximum capacity of 50 people. Leisure facilities
include outdoor swimming pool. Activities include
bird watching, fishing and sundowner boat trips.
There is also evening entertainment with live
music and dancing.
