The Savona Isle Resort is a uniquely located
property that is undergoing refurbishment and
development. The property is situated on a 3-acre
island in Lake Victoria close to the town of
Kakamega and semi-encircled by the River Isikhu.
The resort is only 1.5 km from the nearest
airstrip and accessed via bridge. At present,
the resort has eight double grass-thatch cottages
with a further 10 under construction but there
are plans to add further rooms.
There is a restaurant catering for 100 guests.
A ‘nyama choma’ den and entertainment
area is also being built. There is a gift shop,
saloon and swimming pool and there are plans
for a fitness centre.
