Day 1: Nairobi - Shaba / Samburu.
Early morning departure to Kenya's vast northern region. Cross the equator; arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Here, the Savannah grassland intersperse with thorn bushes to become acacia woodland, giving way to isolated crags and natural springs cascading onto the riverbanks.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Shaba National Reserve.
Full day game viewing along the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River. The river's permanent waters abound with crocodile and hippo and attract plenty of wildlife including the peculiar Grevy Zebra, Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx and the comical Somali Ostrich, unique to these northern parts. This park is famous for the Namunyak Lioness who adopted a record 4 oryx calves successively after each attempt was stopped by either wardens or the males. Breakfast lunch dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Shaba - Nairobi.
After a sumptuous breakfast, bid farewell to this beautiful oasis and return to Nairobi, arriving before lunch.
