Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu / Shaba.
Early morning departure to Kenya's vast northern region. Cross the equator; arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Here, the Savannah grassland intersperse with thorn bushes to become acacia woodland, giving way to isolated crags and natural springs cascading onto the riverbanks.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Samburu / Shaba National Reserve.
Full day game viewing along the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River. The river's permanent waters abound with crocodile and hippo and attract plenty of wildlife including the peculiar Grevy Zebra, Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx and the comical Somali Ostrich, unique to these northern parts.

Day 3: Samburu / Shaba - Lake Nakuru.

After breakfast, drive across the Aberdare ranges through the Great Rift Valley, arriving at the famous Bird sanctuary of Lake Nakuru Park in time for Lunch. Afternoon game drive along the shores of the lake, viewing the myriad of flamingoes and other water birds forming the world's greatest bird spectacle. Dinner and Overnight at the Lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara.
After Breakfast, drive across the floor of the Rift Valley past the extinct volcano of MT Longonot and proceed to Narok. Enter the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve, home to the stately black-manned lion, cheetah, and other predators. The Mara is rich in resident wildlife and in scenic beauty. Maasai Mara is home to the highest concentration of animals and it is in this area that the annual migration of animals takes place between July and October. Birdlife is prolific in the Mara - watch for the colorful lilac-breasted roller. Arrive in time for lunch, before proceeding on for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at your lodge /camp.

Day 5: Maasai Mara.
Enjoy a full day of uninterrupted game drives in this popular reserve renowned for its huge numbers of plains game such as wildebeest and zebra, and its majestic predators. Breakfast, lunch dinner and overnight at your lodge /camp.

Day 6: Maasai Mara - Nairobi.
Return to Nairobi after breakfast.
