Kijani House, Kenya

Kijani House lies in the village of Shella, on Lamu Island, in tropical gardens leading directly to the sea. Six double rooms and four triple rooms each have their own balcony or verandah and are spread throughout the garden into three small thatch roofed Swahili buildings which were formerly private homes. The kitchen specialises in seafood, Italian and African dishes. There are two fresh water swimming pools. Lamu town is 15 minutes away by boat or 3 kms on foot.
